Team Mossy Back -- About Team Mossy Back
Team Mossy Back was started when two friends decided to take part in a little known tournament (at the time) back in 1996 right before James had to deploy to Korea for a year long tour. The 1996 National Catfish Tournament held on the Santee Cooper Reservoir. Since then, it's been on like a pot of neck bones!
Team Mossy Back is comprised of two long time friends Jason and James. We have been friends since 1987 when Jason moved to the town of Buford, GA, where James was living at the time. We were in the 7th grade then. 17 years later, we are still friends and have a passion for catfishing and seeing the catfishing tournament circuit becoming as big as B.A.S.S. and other well known tournaments.
Jason is in the concrete business. He runs the business started by his parents over umpteen million years ago. His biggest catfish to date is a 47 pound flathead caught on Santee Cooper!
James is in the military and has been deployed pretty much anywhere you can think of. His biggest catfish to date is a 54.3 pound flathead caught on Santee Cooper!
Team Mossy Back loves to catfish. We try to enter and fish in as many catfishing tournaments as we can and our schedule will allow. Between James deploying overseas to combat the Global War on Terrorism and Jason's busy schedule building the east coast one slab at a time, we agree that we do not get to fish as many tournaments as we would like. However, our goal is to fish more and more each and every year.
Team Mossy Back goals are to promote catfishing to the next level that some other game fish are on. We hope that our site TeamMossyBack .com will become a household name in the homes and conversations of all catfishermen. Team Mossy Back hopes that catfishermen from all over will use the site and submit feedback to us so that it can become the best FISHING site on the net period!
Team Mossy Back hopes to see you at the next catfish tournament. If you see us (we will be wearing the Team Mossy Back apparel) give us a shout and let us know what you think about this site.
We appreciate all of our visitors ... pass the word about the site.
Until we see you at a catfishing tournament near you, keep them lines wet and poles bent!
Thanks,
Team Mossy back
